As time went on, Mara followed Payton’s haircut rule. She let her bald head grow out as long as a chin length bob, and then made sure to keep it nice and trimmed as to avoid her girlfriend’s wrath again. But as she kept her hair the same, she always thought back to fateful day of her shearing. And in some instances, as crazy as it sounded, she longed to be sheared again. It drove her mind crazy thinking about it. Feeling Payton’s cold hard steeled clippers mow her blonde hair. Her tender care as she stroked the machine across her head. The smooth shave afterwards with the cream. She loved it so much. But she could never admit it to Payton, she would just have to find a way to bring it up somehow…

…Payton walked in the door, her purple suit beaming in the apartments light as she walked in after another long day of work. “Sweetie, I’m home!” She bellowed so that it echoed off the walls of thin apartment.

“Hey baby!” Mara replied from the living room, the screeches of gunfire and aircraft ricocheting off the TV. She turned back to her video game and went on playing.

Payton walked over and sat down next down to Mara and leaned her head against her shoulder as she was playing. She ruffled her hands though Mara’s hair which was running a little past her chin approaching her shoulders. “Looks like someone’s a little behind.” Payton calmly stated.

“I know.” Mara didn't even look as she responded, her attention still focused on the game. “I’ve been meaning to go, just been swamped with the season lately. We're almost done.” She looked at Payton hopeful to gain her approval. “One game left, and we may not make the playoffs so then I have school afternoons free again.” She said longingly hoping that this would be good enough for her.

“I guess I can let you slide, perhaps.” Her hands twirling Mara’s hair in her fingers. “Be a shame if I had to break out my special friend again.” She smiled at the thought of it.

“Maybe I’ll let do you do that anyway.”

Payton’s eyes opened wide and her hands dropped. “Wait what??” She exclaimed.

“Yea, yea, don’t get too excited. I said maybe.” Mara put the controller down and turned her attention towards Payton so she could enjoy her flailing across the chouch like a fish.

“Oh, no maybe! You want it! You liked it!” Jumping off the couch, she burst into the happiest smile Mara had seen. “I knew it, I knew it!” She ran into the bedroom and returned a mere few seconds later with her famed pink clippers now in tow. “In the chair young lady!” She pointed at the nearest chair in the kitchen.

Mara slowly got up and walked over, giving Payton a funny look as she walked by. Sitting in the chair she relaxed and let Payton take over. She wrapped the cape around her neck and snapped it tight once again like that fateful day.

“You sure you wanna let me do this?” Payton questioned as she plugged the clippers in. She looked at Mara for the final approval before she ran wild with the clippers.

“Yea, yea. Although I think I’m going to regret it. But go ahead do your worst.” Mara smiled.

Payton grabbed the clippers and flicked the switch to bring them to life as the blades vibrated and rotated inching nearing to Mara’s head. Payton placed the cold hard steel on Mara’s head and began to push backwards as hair began falling onto the cape and the kitchen floor.

“Why did I let you talk me into this…again!?” Mara screeched as the clippers rolled through her long locks of blonde hair. Each pass was reducing her once frill mane to a short blonde stubble. She couldn't play off the idea that she was enjoying this shearing once again.

“We all know you love me.” Payton smiled as the clippers worked feverishly through Mara’s mane. Once again Payton was stroking them beautifully across her head, erasing any evidence that she had hair. Once again she got the hair down to the closest stubble possible, before she whipped out the shaving cream. “Time for the best part.” She smiled as she began lathering Mara’s head in white substance.

She smoothed it in to her liking, and then grabbed a razor and went to work. Slowly working her way around Mara’s head, she could feel how smooth the surface was becoming. It was gratifying as she worked her way all the way around making short work of Mara’s remaining stubble.

Mara sat in the chair enjoying every single moment. Something that had started as a freak accident was now becoming her favorite activity. If being bald was so bad she didn't want to be right. It was the most blissful thing that she had ever experienced. A idea popped into her head like a balloon.

Payton finished her razor shave, and admired her work from afar. Another perfect shave she thought to herself. Pulling out her phone and sliding over to open the camera she held it out in front of Mara so that she could see the end result.

“Beautiful.” Mara smiled. “You’ve got me hooked.” She stood up and send the remaining hair on her cape tumbling to the ground. “But now I have an idea.” She grinned menacingly like a jack-o-lantern.

“Oh yea what’s that?” Payton blushed a bright red, like an apple. She walked in closer to Mara to see where this idea was going to lead.

Catching her off guard, Mara playfully shoved her down into the chair and grabbed for the clippers off the kitchen island where they were resting. She flicked them on and held them close to Payton’s head. “I believe it’s your turn Ms. Tobin.” She smirked, her grin still on her face.

Payton gleefully squirmed in her seat and then positioned herself just right. “Do your worst.” She said confidently.

Mara drove the clippers into Payton’s hair and enjoyed the parade of hair falling to the floor.
